1. What cookies are
Cookies are small files that a website stores in a visitor's browser to remember information about the visit.
2. This website does not use its own cookies
The opentrailraces.com website, owned by THE TRAIL ZONE SL, does not set its own cookies, nor any advertising or tracking cookies. That is why we do not ask for your consent with a banner.
3. Visit statistics without cookies
To find out how many visits the website receives and which pages are viewed, we use Umami, a statistics tool hosted on servers in the European Union. Umami does not use cookies, does not store any data on your device and does not allow us to identify you: it only counts visits anonymously and in aggregate.
4. Rankings and live tracking
The “Rankings” and “Live” pages display, within the website, the service of the Open Trail Races app (backend.opentrailraces.com). This service uses a single technical session cookie (PHPSESSID), needed for the filters and the map to work, which is deleted when you close your browser. It is a strictly necessary cookie and does not require consent.
5. Links to social networks and other websites
The Facebook, X, YouTube, LinkedIn and Instagram buttons and the links to the app stores (App Store and Google Play) are plain links: they load nothing from these services until you click on them. Once you are on their website, their own cookie and privacy policies apply.
6. How to delete or block cookies
You can delete or block cookies at any time in your browser settings. If you block the technical cookie on the rankings and live pages, these pages may not work properly.
